Very short article, but a good glimpse of modern times. Here's the other half, ;->, of the article:
"It is a time for working families to come together to celebrate their hard work and a time where we recognize the labor movement for all they have given us," including weekends, a 40-hour week and child labor and safety laws. "It should come as no surprise that organizers choose not to invite elected officials who have openly attacked worker's rights or stood idly by while their political party fought to strip public workers of their right to collectively bargain."

The party of "Family Values" (Ha!) is against the working class spending anytime with their families. They should have been asked not to attend years ago.
The "Right to Life" crowd, "Once you're out of the womb all bets are off."
